It's not just you: many are reporting that when they attempt to open messages, groups, or channels on Telegram, they receive a "Connecting" indication.

Users are not able to access the messages because of the "Connecting" signal, which is usually displayed during poor internet connections.
BleepingComputer also noticed that the Telegram desktop client was not connecting. Similar reports from users on Reddit and X are being observed by us.

There are allegations that this outage, which is affecting customers in Asia and portions of Europe, began within the previous 20 minutes.
It's unclear whether this is routine maintenance being done if their servers are having issues, or if there is an intrusion on their networks.
